For the sheer delight of alpaca. . .

A spinner, weaver and Master Dog Groomer, Connie Beauvais turned her sights to alpacas in 1995 when she and husband, Jim, visited an alpaca farm and became proud owners of one of these precious creatures.

Over the years Connie has worked to further the viability of the alpaca fiber market in this country.  She served as Area Liaison for the Alpaca Fiber Co-op of North America in its beginning years, four years as Fleece Show Superintendent for Alpacapalooza, represented fiber artists on the Clallam County Economic Development Council, and operates "Alpacas of Cedar Wind" and "Cedar Wind Products" with her husband.

She has written for "Weaver's Magazine" and has an alpaca shawl and article in The Best of Weaver's Huck Lace book.

Connie's woven and knitted alpaca garments and her handspun alpaca yarns have received Blue Ribbons, Best of Show, and Judge's Choice awards at local, regional, and national fiber events.
